19.June 2014
Dear Members and Friends of the PAA of Germany:

I am pleased to invite you to this year's Summer Get-Together which will be held on the 19th and 20th of July in the scenic little city of Eltville on the Rhine. One of the jewels of the Rheingau, surrounded by beautiful vineyards, Eltville dates back to Roman times and offers a wide range of fascinating historical venues. Our main event will be held at the Weingut Kögler, a charming combination vineyard, hotel and restaurant originally founded in the 15th Century. The plan for the weekend is as follows:

July 19th, 2014 –17:00 – Reception with guest of honor at the Weingut Kögler

July 19th, 2014 – 19:30 – Dinner at the Weingut Kögler

July 20th, 2014 – 10:00 – Walking tour of Eltville

July 20th, 2014 – 12:00 – Lunch together at a local restaurant on the Rhine

We are fortunate in having as our guest of honor this year:
Prof. Nebojsa Nakicenovic, Princeton Class of '71
Nebojsa is currently Deputy Director General/Deputy Chief Executive Officer of the International Institute for Applied Systems Analysis (IIASA), Professor of Energy Economics at the Vienna University of Technology, and Director of the Global Energy Assessment (GEA). He advises the German and Austrian governments as well as the World Bank on energy matters and serves on the editorial boards of numerous scholarly journals. He also was a Coordinating Lead Author of the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC).
