The 39th Reunion:

May 29 – June 1, 2008

Dear Classmates: March 2008
It’s time to sign up for our 39th reunion! This year our hosts will be the Class of 1968 at their 40th headquarters in Dod Courtyard.

Due to the overwhelming positive response to last year’s Saturday dinner in Fine Tower, we have booked another new and potentially even more enjoyable venue this year – the Class of 1956 Lounge in the Stadium. Located on top of the west side of the stadium, we will have an even closer all-weather, air-conditioned view of the fireworks after dinner with the option of watching from the top tier of stadium seats. Consider this to be scouting out the best spots for life after the 40th, which will be here before we know it. And we will repeat two other popular events:
  • Friday evening – the joint Class of 1969/Theatre Intime barbecue in the Class of 1969 Memorial Garden beginning at 5:30 pm. This has proven to be a delightful mixing and conversation event in for the past two years, providing us with a Friday dinner for those who arrive early, and a chance to mingle with the undergraduate and graduate Intime crowd.
  • We will have a hoagie lunch before the P-rade Saturday, also in the Memorial Garden, beginning at noon. Plan on lunch rain or shine – we'll shift our venue inside to Theatre Intime in case of inclement weather.
  • The class dinner Saturday will begin with cocktails at 6:00 pm followed by dinner at 7:30. The Class of 1956 Lounge is accessed by an elevator adjacent to sections 9-10 on the west side of the stadium.

The P-rade will begin at 2:00 pm Saturday with the usual assembly under the class banners along the route. Wear whatever class regalia suits you from former years (the “official” uniform is still the class vest, black polo shirt, white or orange slacks and comfortable shoes).

In addition to the class activities there will be the ever-expanding universe of lectures, panels and gatherings which, together with the fellowship of classmates and their families, make the Princeton reunions experience unique. Parking will be available at lots 21 and 23 at the bottom of campus off Faculty road with shuttles running to all the headquarters.

This year for the first time you can use our Online Registration to register and pay. We would appreciate any feedback on this experience so we can make it as efficient as possible for the 40th next year. Or you can return the enclosed registration form with payment. Either way, pre-register and save. Also enclosed is information on available local accommodations. We hope to see as many of you as possible.

Best regards,

Bill and Anne Charrier

Reunion Co-Chairs
