Sign Up Now for ‘69’s 41st Reunion
Tuesday, March 30, 2010

Our 41st reunion is rapidly approaching – May 27-30, and this year we will be hosted by the Class of 1970 at their 40th headquarters in Dod Courtyard.

Need some relief from economic uncertainty?  We have it.  This year for the first time ‘69’s reunion will be FREE, except for the Saturday dinner.  The free part includes admission wristbands for you and your family, the Friday barbecue and the Saturday hoagie lunch before the P-rade.  A big locomotive for making this possible to all classmates who have paid their dues and especially to the generous ones on the leadership role.

For our Saturday Class meeting and dinner we will return to the Class of 1956 Lounge in the stadium.  Those who were there for the 39th will recall the great fireworks view and if you really need to be in the middle of things, it’s a relatively short walk to the main seating area.  We had about 100 folks turn up for the dinner at the 39th, quite a bit beyond what we expected, so please sign up both for both reunions and the dinner using the enclosed form.  The order of events is:

  • Friday evening – Joint Class of 1969/Theatre Intime barbecue in the Class of 1969 Memorial Garden beginning at 5:30 pm. Come and mingle with classmates and the Intime undergrads and grads. Dod Courtyard will be closed for 1970’s dinner starting at 6:00 pm and will reopen before The Party Dolls start playing about 9:30 pm.

  • Saturday noon – Hoagie lunch before the P-rade, also in the Memorial Garden. Plan on lunch rain or shine – we’ll shift our venue inside to Theatre Intime in case of inclement weather.

  • Saturday evening – Class dinner and meeting beginning with cocktails at 6:00 pm followed by dinner at 7:30. The Class of 1956 Lounge is accessed by an elevator adjacent to sections 9-10 on the west side of the stadium. The Grease Band will play at headquarters following the fireworks.

The P-rade will begin as always at 2:00 pm Saturday with the usual assembly under the class banners along the route.  Wear whatever class regalia suits you from former years (the “official” uniform is still the class vest, black polo shirt, white or orange slacks and comfortable shoes).  And bring those beads.

For a copy of the registration form, CLICK HERE.  Please mail it to David Pensak at the address on the form with a check if you plan to attend the Saturday dinner.  Send it in without a check if you plan to come to some part of the weekend but not the dinner.  This will help in estimating food and drink for our two free meals.

Off-year reunions are always great.  Hope to see you at this one.
